Obituary

Obituary of Homer Trussell
Homer "Bud" Elarth Trussell, 97, of Boise, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, November, 3, 2013. Bud was the youngest of three children born to Ralph Trussell and Goldie (Elarth) Trussell in York, Nebraska.
Bud spent his early years in Wyoming and Montana, and studied Forestry and Range Management at the University of Montana. During college summers he worked as a cowboy, fire lookout, range surveyor, and land appraiser. Bud then attended the Montana School of Mines and was called to serve the US Navy in May 1943. After the war, Bud worked for salt mining companies, owned a hardware store, and worked for the US Bureau of Mines.
Bud married the love of his life, Harriet Cross, in 1945 and a few years later adopted their only child, Karen.
Bud liked to travel with Harriet, play the piano, sing, teach Sunday School, mentor at the Boy's Club, and ride horses with Karen. With a witty sense of humor, Bud loved to tell stories and we loved to hear them.
Bud is survived by his daughter, Karen Ker; grandson Robert (Carolina) Robison; granddaughter Diedera diPierro; and 5 great-grandchildren, Monica, Kimberly, Anthony, Olivia, and Zander. He was preceded in death by his wife and two sisters.
