Obituary of Robert Sandoval

Robert Sandoval passed away suddenly at his home in Eagle, Idaho on July 1, 2011. He was born November 7, 1933 in Winslow, Arizona to Manuel and Katie Sandoval. After graduating from Winslow High School he attended ASU for 1 year, then was drafted in the U.S. Army for 2 years. He was stationed in Bordeaux, France where he played in the Army Band. After receiving his Honorable Discharge from the Army, he returned to complete his education at Northern Arizona University. Here he received his B.S. and Master's Degree in Business Education. He met Betty Mullins and they married in 1966. He taught in the Boise schools for 35 years and retired in 1993. Bob will be remembered for his love of teaching, gardening, music, reading and traveling with his wife, Betty. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a younger brother, Leo of St. John's, Newfoundland who was also into music education. He is survived by his wife, Betty; four children from a former marriage; one brother, Tom of Boise; one sister, Ann (Maurice) of Great Falls, Montana; Shirley Sandoval; several nieces; four grand children; and 2 great grandchildren. Services are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel.
