Obituary of Kathaleen Roberts

Kathaleen Helen Roberts Kathaleen Helen Roberts, 79 of Boise crossed to the other side from complications of pneumonia at St Als Saturday evening January 7, 2012 with her family at her side. Kathy was born January 25, 1932 in Brush, Colorado to Clifford and Lena Shaffer. The younger of two daughters, Kathy's early years were spent in the Denver area. As a young woman, she met and after a brief courtship married a returning Navy Veteran Pete Wall. This union produced four sons and a daughter. Seeking a new start their journey led them to Boise in 1956. Here they settled and raised their sons. After a divorce in 1960 Kathy would go on to educate and reinvent herself for her children and her future. She met and married Bob Roberts in 1964. Kathy and Bob loved to camp, fish and explored much of Idaho's beauty. Kathy worked as a secretary and other administrative functions until she found her dream job at the Idaho State Liquor Dispensary. She embraced with proficiency the use of computers during the transition and modernization of record keeping systems of the times. She retired after 32 years of service. Kathy and Bob traveled worldwide and loved to RV in their motor home. They shared many stories about the friends they met on their travels. Kathy's last big trip was to New York City in August of 2011 for her granddaughters wedding. Kathy is survived by sons Steve Wall (Grace), Meridian, John Wall (Pam), and Dave Wall (Kristin), both of Boise, thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren, and her two dear nephews Tim and Dick Nolan. She was predeceased by her parents Cliff and Lena Shaffer, sister Greta McFall-Trybom, beloved husband and best friend, Bob Roberts, son Danny Wall and infant daughter Susan Kay Wall. Memorial services will be Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at Summers Funeral Home, Boise Chapel, 1205 W. Bannock St.
