Obituary of Eva Olson

Eva Marie Olson Eva Marie Olson, 86, of Boise, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Idaho State Veterans Home. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 at 1:00p.m.at Hillcrest Trinity Assembly. Services are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel. Eva was born March 25, 1925 in Weaver, West Virginia to James Sarco and Pearl Nevachiva. She lived in West Virginia until 1943. In 1945, she married Leon R. Olson in Baltimore, Maryland. She was a secretary for the BLM, AFEES, FAA, Boise-Ada County Civil Defense and was a legal secretary for Givens & Givens in 1971. Eva was also an assistant teacher and foster grandparent in the Meridian School District from 1997-2002. She has lived in Boise since 1957. Eva loved to sing, play guitar, piano, and the harmonica. She always had her door open to anyone in need. Her life was dedicated to serve her Lord Jesus Christ and her family. Eva will be remembered as a loved wife, mother, and grandmother. Her passion was art and singing. She is survived by her husband, Leon R. Olson; children, Margo Stone, Beverly Adams, Shaaron Drake, Don Olson; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Lynda Olson Jones. Eva was a member of the Hillcrest Trinity Assembly and in lieu of flowers she would appreciate all donations be made to her church; 2201 S. Orchard Boise, ID 83705.
