Obituary of Charles Harding

Charles Mowery Harding of Boise departed this life for his heavenly home on Friday, March 8, 2013, from Marquis Care after developing early onset Alzheimer's in his 60s. He was 75. Chuck attended Gonzaga Prep and joined the Washington Army National Guard serving from 1956 - 1962. His extensive career in the insurance industry relocated his family through Spokane, Lewiston, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Detroit, and finally Boise. In 1989 he resigned to become self-employed where he acquired and grew AutoSort Commercial Mailing Service until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the Plantation Golf Club, Sunrise Rotary and Knights of Columbus. He attended St. Mark's Catholic Church. Indeed, he lived a full life of service to his country, family, church, and community. Chuck was born to Charles and Helen Harding in Spokane, WA. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Clyde and Miles, and his first wife, Sharon, to which he reared five children. He is also survived by his current wife, Janice Nelson Johnson Harding. He is further survived by his children Cheryl & Ed Johnson, Boise, Charlie Harding, Seoul Korea, Kim Stumbo, Carmel IN, Steve Harding, Meridian, Kristin Schulkey, Boise, Nancy Mitton, Saratoga Springs UT, Beth Davis, Norman OK, Sara Smith, Parker CO, and 28 grandchildren. All services will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 7960 Northview St., Boise. A viewing is scheduled for Monday, March 11, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm with a short vigil service and rosary following. The funeral will commence on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2 pm with a reception immediately afterward. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are by Summers Funeral Home, Boise Chapel
