I knew Ed Glennon for many years and grew to love and respect him so much. He was always willing to help anyone and he was the epitome of what an Insurance Agent is supposed to be. His purpose in selling insurance was to help his client and he always said the policy had to be chosen for the best fit for the client, not how much his commission might be. His clientele grew every year, many, many people have benefited from his expertise and his kindness. I worked for and with Ed, first as his Office Manager and later during my eighteen years as the NAIFA Idaho Executive Director. Ed was always involved in NAIFA and BAIFA and the Southern Idaho Chapter of CLU & ChFC. He always gave freely of his time and talent. There is no telling how many agents he trained or mentored throughout his career.
I was privileged to keep in touch with Ed off and on after he retired and I left the Industry. We lost touch for awhile after he lost Coline, a huge loss, but we were able to reconnect and had many long phone calls catching up and talking about our families and mutual friends. I send condolences to Joni and Julie and Steve and their families. I am sad that I won’t be able to call Ed again but I am so blessed to have known and loved him.
