Obituary of Marlene Faye (Wardle) Hill

Marlene Hill, 84, of Boise, ID, passed away on March 23, 2023. Exactly 50 years after the passing of her mother.
Marlene Faye Wardle was born on November 4, 1938 to Edith Lucille (Acker) & Golden Fielding Wardle SR. 

Marlene was the oldest of 3 and a devoted sister to 2 brothers; Golden Fielding Wardle JR and John Russell Wardle. She was blessed in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by her Uncle Dell Wardle on January 20, 1940. She was baptized March 4, 1950 and became a confirmed member of the church on March 5, 1950.

Marlene attended Pierce Park Elementary School, South Junior High & Boise High School where she was awarded the School Letter in A Cappella Choir and where she graduated in 1957. 

On June 28, 1958 she married Bert Leroy Israel. Marlene and Bert lived in Boise, ID and went on to have 3 children; Jerrold “Jerry” Leroy Israel, David “Randy” Randal Israel, and Teri Lynn Israel. Marlene and Bert later divorced. 

In 1972 Marlene married Louis O’Neal and gained 1 step son, Jeffrey. Together they resided in Eagle, ID for many years until their divorce in the early 90’s.
Marlene then moved to Boise, ID and met Marvin Hill. Marlene and Marvin were married on Oct 5, 1996. And she gained 3 step daughters; Marceen, Kara & Cheree.
Marlene was a wonderful homemaker. She was a great cook and baker, she loved to sew & crochet and even made many halloween costumes, twirly dresses, blankets and much more for her family. She had a passion for fishing and camping and took her boat and motorhome out any chance she could. Riding co-captain in her brother Golden’s speedboat was another one of her favorite things to do. Marlene spent many years working for Hewlett-Packard as a secretary and during these years was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Each member of her family truly had their own special bond with her. She made sure to love each and every one in their own way. She always found those special connections whether it be, playing cards, canning, sewing, camping or just spending quality time. She did her best to attend sports games, dance recitals, car races and any activities her kids or grandkids were participating in. 

Marlene is preceded in death by her parents Edith (Acker) & Golden Wardle Sr. Her brother Golden Fielding Wardle Jr (Leona), her son Jerrold “Jerry” Leroy Israel and her grandson Dustin Matthew Reynolds.

Marlene is Survived by her husband, Marvin Hill. Brother, John Russell Wardle (Beverly). Children, David “Randy” Randal Israel, and Teri Cole (Ryne). Step-Children, Marceen Price (Greg), Kara Hidalgo (Daniel), and Cheree Richärd (James). Grandchildren, Jacob Reynolds (Jessica), Carlie Seamons (Zach), Kathryn “Katie” Ingle (Tyler), Travis Israel, Trenton “Trent” Israel, Daniel “Danny” Israel, and Jessica Fisher (Spencer). Step-Grandchildren; Zakaree Green (Emily), Tyler Price, Brianna Price, Mikayla Richärd. Great Grandchildren, Kaylee Slagel, Weston Seamons, Kole Robinson, Everlee Seamons, and Trace Ingle. Daughter-in-law's; Vicki Wagner and Donna Dunnigan. Sister-in-law; Leona Wardle.
