Obituary of Joyce Ann Bordner

Joyce Ann Bordner unexpectedly passed away peacefully on September 9, 2020. Ann was born in Boise, Idaho November 30, 1941 to Jay Stevens and Hazel Randall. Her parents were later divorced, and her father got custody. When he remarried, Ann was raised by his second wife, Margaret Corse Stevens.
Ann spent her childhood on the Little Camas Prairie near Hill City, Idaho. During her teen years she lived in Idaho Falls, Boise, and Twin Falls. She graduated from Boise High School in 1960. As an adult she lived in Utah, and Oregon.
Ann was a tall, sensitive, and witty woman loved by family and friends. She worked in personnel services for both the Idaho and Utah gas companies. More recently she has been a fixture and constant presence in the office of Willowbrook over 55 community where she volunteered her time.
She is survived by her sister Teralene “Terry” Foxx, half-sister Sally Ruh, and half-brothers Mike and Pat Beckdolt. She mentored and encouraged nieces Alison Carlisi, Erin Chavez, Kerri Frazier and Cami Clemo. She has 3 grandnieces and one grandnephew. Ann is survived by three stepdaughters: Lisa Bordner, Carin O’Toole, and Kendra Schofield.
In lieu of flowers donations can be given in Ann’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice.
