Obituary of Daniel Ray Edwards

Daniel Ray Edwards passed away in his home February 2, 2020 at the age of 77.

Dan is preceded in death by his father, Verne James, his mother, Wilma H Purcell and twin brother, Douglas Jay.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Diane, of 54 years. They were married for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple, September 7, 1965.

Dan is lovingly remembered by his children, Jason (Kristi), Jim (Rebekah), and Lucy (Brian) and his  grandchildren, Abigail (John), MacGyver, Lindsey, Michael, Elijah, Samson, Lael, Kaelyn, Joshua, Isabelle, Natalie, Sarah and one great-granddaughter, Danielle and his older brother Preston.

Dan was born in Bozeman, Montana, July 21, 1942. He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1960. He served four years in the United States Navy as a Storekeeper 2nd Class. He then attended and graduated from Stevens-Henager Business College and worked as an accountant for various companies.

Dan was a devoted disciple of Christ and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church capacities throughout his life.  He loved to read, fish and camp with his family, was an avid gardener and bird watcher.  Dan was a true patriot and loved to attend any patriotic event. He loved his country, family and friends. But he hated broccoli.
