I never met Betty. However, I’m a testament that her kindness to cats will live on. When we moved into Betty’s former house in Burley there was a handsome tuxedo cat that frequented the property. My neighbor told me of this wonderful lady named Betty that fed and sheltered homeless cats and that she lived here before the family before us. My neighbor also told me that upon Betty moving, all the cats were crated for the move except this one tuxedo cat. We tried to befriend the cat but he didn’t let anyone approach him and my husband nicknamed him “Skiddish”. We started leaving a plate of food for him on the porch, he never seemed interested to come in the house... until recently. Perhaps he can sense Betty’s spirit checking in on the house where she raised her children and therefore feels more at home. We now call the cat “Panda” my neighbor says she believes his real name given by Betty is “T-bone”. When people visit the house and ask about “T-bone Panda” we have never claimed ownership. He belongs to Betty and because of her loving example we will do our best to be kind to cats especially hers. -Natalie Evans

So sorry to hear of Aunt Betty's passing. She was a very sweet Aunt. We will miss her. I know she is in heaven with Claude, brother Bob and my Mom and Grandma. Till we meet again Aunt Betty.
