Obituary of Donald Freddie Leadbetter

Donald Leadbetter, 79 of Middleton, Idaho passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. He was born September 4, 1939 in Peppertown, Indiana.  Don was one of five children born to Fred and Lucille Leadbetter.  

Donald was a member of the US Airforce.  He was an aircraft mechanic and rose to the rank of Master Sergeant.   Don met and married Millred (Billie) Ligon. Air force life had the family calling many places home; they lived overseas in Japan, Okinawa and the Philippines.  Don was a loving, devoted father to Billie’s two sons. 

 

Don retired from Mountain Home Air Force base. He loved living in Idaho where he enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping and hunting.  Don worked for twenty years at Hewlett Packard in Facilities. Upon retiring, Billie and Don traveled the states in their motorhome.   

 

Don was a quiet, loving father and grandfather.  He was dearly loved by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don is survived by his brother Richard Leadbetter, sister Vilma Slagle, son Darryl (Wendy) Leadbetter, daughter-in-law Diane Leadbetter,  grandchildren; Krystina (Luke) Olson, Kariann Bohannon, Josh Rose, Jared Rose, Lindsey Leadbetter and Brandon Leadbetter. 

 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Billie Leadbetter; brother Duane Leadbetter; sister Audrey Ferguson, and son Scott Leadbetter.
