Gary was born in Gibbon, NE on December 23, 1937 to Laverne Tillman McMullen and Margaret Myrle Ice. He graduated from Gibbon High School in 1956 and entered the USAF in 1959. He retired in 1985 and then went to work for the Idaho State Tax Commission.
He was at his first duty assignment in Blytheville AR where he met and married the love of his life, Judith Susan Wise. Gary and Judith went on to have three children, Catherine Margaret McMullen, Robert Gary McMullen and Susan Mary McMullen.
Gary is survived by his wife Judith, his children Catherine (Steven) McNeill, Robert (Bridget) McMullen and Susan McMullen. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Julia Wise (McNeill) Stewart, Rose Marie McMullen, Andrew Robert McMullen, Nora Claire McMullen and one great grandchild, Adalynn Grace Stewart.
Gary was loved by many and we will remember him as HAL (Hero At Large) for his generosity of spirit and kind heart.
