An avid reader of newspapers, Bill also loved history and could frequently be found at his local Barnes & Noble. He also loved his pipe, his bourbon, model railroading, and a good English Murder Mystery. Bill is survived by his wife Angela (Boise, ID), sons Derek (Leslie) DeCloedt (Evergreen, CO), Scott (Chelsea) DeCloedt (Sandy, UT), a daughter Emily (Clint) Francis (San Luis Obispo CA), his grandchildren Finn, Ivy, Pfeiffer, Ian and Evan, a sister Susan (DeCloedt) Toth (Huber Heights, OH), a brother Michael (Lynn) DeCloedt (McCordsville, IN), and his faithful companion Sebastian the cat. Arrangements are being handled by Summers Funeral Home in Boise. A committal service with Military Funeral Honors will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery on Friday January 12th at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Ada County Humane Society.
