The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Anthony Stoppello can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Tony can easily be summed up in one word, "Genuine"! His larger than life, charismatic personality always made it entertaining on fishing trips, military staff meetings, or even just a cold beer conversation among friends. His genuine concern for every soldier that served with, or under his command was something I always admired. It was a distinct pleasure to serve with Tony over the many years in the Idaho Army National Guard. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Stoppello family during this difficult time, and I just wanted you to know that he touched many souls throughout his life in a very positive way. He will be missed by many.

Condolence: I really liked and admired Tony. I followed him as commander of B Co of the 145th Spt Bn, and was impressed by his many accomplishments and exploits. He was a strong, self-confident and successful leader. He was also a really funny guy and always made me laugh. Larger than life hits the nail on the head when talking about Tony. The world is a less interesting place now that he's gone. I'm so sorry.

Condolence: Major Stoppello was always a kind and nice person when he would stop in my office and ask questions about his military retirement. He was fun to work with on the retirement side of the military. The world is going to be a little less brighter with him gone.
